Pope John Paul II

Bishop’s Message

Dear Children, Parents, Catechists, Priests, and Faithful of the Diocese of Hosur,

Greetings and blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It gives me great joy to welcome you to the Catechism Department of the Diocese of Hosur. Catechesis is at the heart of the Church’s mission, for it nurtures faith, forms Christian values, and leads us into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Through catechetical formation, our children and young people discover not only the teachings of the Church but also the beauty of living as true disciples of Christ.

In today’s rapidly changing world, where young minds are exposed to countless influences, the ministry of faith formation becomes more important than ever. Our catechism classes are not merely places of instruction; they are communities of faith where children learn to pray, serve, love, and witness to the Gospel in their daily lives.

I express my sincere appreciation to all our priests, religious, catechists, animators, headmasters, and parents who dedicate themselves to this noble mission. Your commitment and sacrifice play a vital role in shaping a generation rooted in faith, enriched by Christian values, and inspired by the teachings of Jesus.

To our dear students, I encourage you to actively participate in catechism classes, cherish God’s Word, receive the Sacraments with devotion, and become shining examples of Christian life in your families, schools, and communities. Remember that faith is not simply learned; it is lived. Let Jesus be your companion, guide, and friend in every step of your journey.

May this website serve as a valuable resource for faith formation, collaboration, and communication within our diocesan catechetical family. Let us continue to walk together in faith, hope, and love, building a vibrant Church that reflects the light of Christ.

Entrusting all our catechetical efforts to the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, I invoke God’s abundant blessings upon each one of you.

With prayers and blessings,

✠ Mar Sebastian Pozholiparambil
