Children’s Retreat Inspires Young Hearts to Grow in Faith

The Hosur Diocese Catechetical Centre organised a spiritually enriching Children’s Retreat, bringing together students from various parishes for a day of prayer, reflection, learning, and joyful fellowship.

The retreat was designed to help children experience God’s love in a deeper way and strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through engaging talks, praise and worship sessions, interactive activities, group discussions, and moments of silent prayer, participants were encouraged to grow in faith and Christian values.

Special sessions focused on the importance of prayer, kindness, forgiveness, family values, and living as witnesses of Christ in everyday life. The children actively participated in the programmes and displayed remarkable enthusiasm throughout the retreat.

The event concluded with a Holy Eucharistic celebration and a special blessing for all participants. Many children shared their experiences, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to learn, pray, and connect with fellow students from across the diocese.

The Catechetical Centre remains committed to organising such faith-enriching programmes that help young people develop spiritually, emotionally, and morally.

Annual Catechism Examination Conducted Successfully Across the Diocese

The Annual Catechism Examination of the Hosur Diocese Catechetical Centre was conducted successfully with the enthusiastic participation of children from various parishes and mission stations across the diocese.

The examination evaluated the students’ understanding of Sacred Scripture, Church teachings, Christian values, prayers, and the catechism syllabus prescribed for the academic year. Parish priests, headmasters, catechism teachers, and parents worked together to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.

The Catechetical Centre expresses its sincere appreciation to all directors, animators, teachers, parents, and volunteers whose efforts contributed to the successful completion of this important academic and spiritual milestone.

The annual examination continues to serve as a valuable opportunity for children to deepen their knowledge of the faith and strengthen their commitment to living as disciples of Christ in their daily lives.
